Tried makemessages and it gave me this error:

Espen, you might want to use command
python manage.py makemessages -l no -e html,py,txt
That way messages will be taken from files of type
.txt. Those are all the types that have translatable messages. Then of course run

Hello there, Adolfo Fitoria as been working on the spanish localization and he fixed a couple of errors like those. Hes changes are yet to be merged, but for your particular problem this commit solves it.
